As our Senior Marketing Executive, you’ll help shape bold retail strategies and lead the way in bringing them to life. You’ll blend marketing instinct with digital fluency, running content, comms, and campaigns that resonate. You’ll have the freedom to move fast, use new tools (hello AI), and bring your own voice to the table.


POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Marketing Executive is responsible for driving the development and execution of innovative, data-driven marketing strategies that elevate brand presence, customer engagement, and business growth for RX Group and its clients. This role is responsible for managing and implementing projects that bridge marketing, category, and customer engagement by blending retail insight, digital and AI, and storytelling to craft compelling campaigns and optimise marketing effectiveness across all channels.


By leveraging emerging technologies and market trends, the position ensures RX Group remains at the forefront of retail marketing excellence - translating customer insights into actionable initiatives that support strategic objectives, foster long-term client relationships, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.


Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will oversee projects, campaigns, timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining a keen focus on customer and client impact.

Your ability to drive execution, manage competing priorities, and deliver no-stress attention to detail and time management will ensure the successful implementation of marketing campaigns, in-store activations, and retail projects.


This role requires a dynamic, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. It’s imperative that you are a self-motivated individual who is most comfortable working autonomously and ensuring you work alongside and with the team actively.


RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is ideal for a marketing professional who combines strategic thinking with hands-on retail expertise.

  • Develop and deliver strategic marketing plans for RX Group and clients.

  • Analyse customer behaviour and category performance to generate actionable insights.

  • Support product positioning, promotion, and go-to-market strategies to drive growth.

  • Manage digital content and campaigns across social, email, and web platforms.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to implement innovative ideas.

  • Stay updated with digital, retail, and customer experience trends to ensure relevance and innovation.

  • Identify opportunities to improve frameworks, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the business context

  • Ensure all project initiatives align with broader business and retail strategies.

  • Contribute to post-project evaluations, capturing key learnings and recommendations for future initiatives.


SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  • 3-5+ years in marketing and marcomms, ideally within retail or a retail-aligned business.

  • Proficiency with digital tools and platforms: EDMs, CMS, Meta/Google, analytics, etc.

  • Proficiency with a variety of platforms such as Wordpress, WIX and Shopify

  • Numerically competency and comfortable with excel spreadsheets and managing budgets

  • Strong analytical skills to turn insights into actionable ideas.

  • Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.

  • Collaborative, curious, and proactive mindset.

  • Genuine passion for retail and customer experience.

  • Degree in business, communications or marketing preferred but not essential.

Critically Important

  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.

  • Experience briefing and responding to communications campaigns and strategic projects.
